Current Status: Operation
Tangail 22 MW Gas Power Plant (New), also known as X Index Gas Power Plant or TPPGL Gas Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-run power plant situated in Dhorat of Gharinda under Tangail Sadar Upazila in Tangail District of Bangladesh (Location: 24.2587, 89.9473). It is sponsored by Tangail Palli Power Generation Limited (TPPGL), a subsidiary of X Index Energy Limited under X Index Group, as a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 15 years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 20 December 2020 and, as per schedule, the power plant will retire on 19 December 2035.
Capacity
The installed (gross) capacity of the power plant is 22 MW.
