Current Status: Operation
Siddhirganj 335 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as EGCB Siddhirganj Gas Power Plant, is a Combined Cycle (CC) Power Plant situated in Siddhirganj Power Station Compoundunder Bandar Upazila in Narayanganj District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.6847, 90.5161). It is sponsored by the Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCBL), a State-owned Enterprise (SOE) under the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), as a publicly owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 25 years. The Gas Turbine (GT) unit of 218 MW started commercial operation on 1 May 2010 while the Steam Turbine (ST) unit of 117 MW on 10 September 2019. As per schedule, the GT unit will retire on 30 April 2032 while the ST unit on 9 September 2041.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 365 MW and 335 MW respectively.
