Current Status: Operation
Shikalbaha 105 MW Furnace Oil Power Plant, also known as Baraka Shikalbaha Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Kolagaon under Patiya Upazila in Chattogram District of Bangladesh (Location: 22.3239, 91.8656). It is sponsored by Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited (BSPL), a subsidiary of Baraka Power Limited (BPL), as a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 15 years. BSPL declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 25 May 2019 and, as per schedule, the power plant will retire on 24 May 2034.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 110.49 MW and 105 MW.
