Current Status: Operation
Rangpur 113 MW Furnace Oil Power Plant, also known as Confidence Rangpur Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Bairagi Ganj of Pairaband Union under Mithapukur Upazila in Rangpur District of Bangladesh (Location: 25.6591, 89.2724). It is sponsored by Confidence Power Rangpur Limited (CPRL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Confidence Group, as a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 15 years. CPRL declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 12 August 2019 and, as per schedule, the power plant will retire on 11 August 2034.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 118.26 MW and 113 MW respectively.
