Current Status: Operation
Nawabganj 55 MW Furnace Oil Power Plant, also known as Doreen Southern Power Plant or Nababganj Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Daulatpur under Nawabganj Upazila in Dhaka District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.6873, 90.2824). It is sponsored by Dhaka Southern Power Generations Limited (DSPGL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Doreen Group, as a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 15 years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 17 June 2016 and, as per schedule, the power plant will retire on 16 June 2031.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) Capacity of Doreen Nawabganj Power Plant is 55.66 MW and 55 MW respectively.
