Current Status: Operation
Kodda 150 MW Dual Fuel Power Plant, also known as Gazipur 150 MW Peaking Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Kodda under Gazipur Sadar Upazila in Gazipur District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.9909, 90.3432). It is sponsored by B-R PowerGen Limited (BRPL), a Joint Venture Company (JVC) of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Rural Power Company Limited (RPCL), as a publicly owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 20 years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 16 August 2015 and, according to the schedule, it is to retire on 15 August 2035.
Capacity
The installed and net capacity of Kodda Peaking Power Plant is 158.40 MW and 149.356 MW respectively.
