Tongi 105 MW (BPDB) DFG Power Plant

Current Status: Operation

Tongi 105 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as Tongi 80 MW Gas Power Station, is a Gas Turbine (GT) power plant situated in Tongi Power House of Tongi city under Tongi Upazila in Gazipur District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.8963, 90.4117). It is sponsored by Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) as a State-owned Power Plant (SOPP) for 25 years. The power plant started its commercial operation on 14 March 2005 and, as per schedule, it will retire on 13 March 2030.

Capacity

The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 105 MW and 80 MW respectively.
