Current Status: Construction
Sreepur 150 MW Furnace Oil Power Plant, also known as BRPL Sreepur Power Plant, is a under-construction reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Singhoshree under Sreepur Upazila in Gazipur District of Bangladesh (Location: 24.2319, 90.5421). It is sponsored by B-R Powergen Limited (BRPL), a Joint Venture Company (JVC) of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Rural Power Company Limited (RPCL), as a publicly owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 20 years. As per schedule, the power plant will start its commercial operation on 13 June 2023 and retire on 12 June 2042.
Capacity
The installed (gross) capacity of the power plant is 150 MW.
