Current Status: Operation
Rupganj 33 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as Summit Rupganj Power Plant, is a Domestic Fossil Gas (DFG) based small power plant situated at Tetlabo of Borpa Rupashi under Rupganj Upazila in Narayanganj District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.7550, 90.5498). It is sponsored by Summit Power Limited (SPL), a subsidiary of Summit Group, as a Small Independent Power Producer (SIPP) for 15 years. SPL declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 9 June 2009 and, as per schedule, the power plant is to retire on 8 June 2024.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 35 MW and 33 MW respectively.
