Current Status: Operation
Payra 150 MW Furnace Oil Power Plant, also known as United Payra Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Khalishakhali under Patuakhali Sadar Upazila in Patuakhali District of Bangladesh (Location: 22.3704, 90.3219). It is sponsored by United Payra Power Limited (UPPL), a subsidiary of United Group, as a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 15 years. UPPL declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 18 Jan 2021 and, as per schedule, the power plant is to retire on 17 January 2036.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 156.35 MW and 150 MW respectively.
