Munshiganj 400 MW Coal Power Plant (Phase-1), also known as EGCBL Munshiganj Coal Power Plant (Unit-1) is a canceled 400 MW supercritical coal power plant was to be situated in Char Mosura and Char Ramzan Beg under Gazaria Upazila in Munshiganj District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.5420, 90.5715). It was proposed by Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCBL), a State-owned Enterprise (SOE) under Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), as a publicly owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 25 years.
Capacity
The installed capacity of the power plant was to be 300-400 MW.
