Mirsarai 150 MW Dual Fuel Power Plant, also known as Mirsarai BRPL Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in the Mirsarai Economic Zone area under Mirasari Upazila in Chattogram District of Bangladesh (Location: 22.7654, 91.4600). It is sponsored by B-R Powergen Limited, a Joint Venture Company (JVC) of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Rural Power Company Limited (RPCL), as a publicly owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 20 years. The power plant started its commercial operation on 4 September 2022 and retire on 3 September 2042.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 166.50 MW and 163 MW respectively.
