Current Status: Operation
Madhabdi 25 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as Summit Madhabdi Power Plant (Unit 2), s a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Rainadi of Madhabdi under Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Upazila in Narsingdi District of Bangladesh (Location Map: 23.8554, 90.6557). It is sponsored by Summit Power Limited, a subsidiary of Summit Group, as a Small Independent Power Producer (SIPP) for 15 years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 16 December 2006 and, as per schedule, it was to retire on 15 December 2021.
Capacity
The installed and derated capacity of the power plant is 26 MW and 25 MW respectively.
