Current Status: Operation
Haripur 412 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as EGCBL Haripur CC Power Plant, is a Combined Cycle (CC) power plant situated in Haripur under Bandar Upazila in Narayanganj District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.6855, 90.5294). It is sponsored by Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCBL), a State-owned Enterprise (SOE) under Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), as a publicly owned Independent Power Producer (IPP) for 22 years. The power plant started commercial operation on 6 April 2014 and, as per schedule, it will retire on 5 April 2036.
Capacity
The installed and net capacity of the power plant is 428 MW and 412 MW respectively.
