Current Status: Operation
Fenchuganj 51 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as BEDL Sylhet 51 MW Gas Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant, situated in Mirboxtola under Fenchuganj Upazila in Sylhet District of Bangladesh (Location: 24.6830, 91.9189). It is operated by Barakatullah Electro Dynamics Limited (BEDL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Baraka Power Limited (BPL), as a Rental Power Plant (RPP) for 15 years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 18 October 2009 and, according to schedule, it is to retire on 17 October 2024.
Capacity
The installed (gross) capacity of the power plant is 51 MW.
