Current Status: Operation
Fenchuganj 180 MW Gas Power Plant, also known as Fenchuganj 2X90 MW CC Power Station, is a Combined Cycle (CC) power plant situated under Fenchuganj Upazila in Sylhet District of Bangladesh (Location: 24.6869, 91.9191). It is sponsored by Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) as a State-owned Power Plant (SOPP) for 25 years. BPDB declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the first unit on 24 December 1994 and the second unit on 26 October 2011. According to the schedule, the power plant is to retire on 23 December 2019.
Capacity
The installed and net capacity of the power plant is 231 MW and 225 MW respectively.
