Current Status: Operation
Ashulia 33 MW Gas Power Plant (Unit-II), also known as Summit Ashulia Power Plant Unit II, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated at Khejur Bagan in Ashulia Bazar under Savar Upazila in Dhaka District of Bangladesh (Coordinates: 23.8902, 90.3326). It is sponsored by Summit Power Limited (SPL), a subsidiary of Summit Group, as a Small Independent Power Producer (SIPP) for 15 years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 3 December 2007 and, according to schedule, it is to retire on 2 December 2022.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 34.75 MW and 33 MW respectively.
