Current Status: Operation
Aowrahati 100 MW Diesel Power Plant, also known as Aowrahati Fast Tract Power Plant, is a reciprocating engine-based power plant situated in Aowrahati under Keraniganj Upazila in Dhaka District of Bangladesh (Location: 23.6520, 90.3411). It is sponsored by Aggreko Energy Solution Limited (AESL), a subsidiary of Aggreko International Limited (AIL), as a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) for five years. The sponsor declared its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 29 June 2018 and, according to the schedule, it is to retire on 28 June 2023.
Capacity
The installed (gross) and derated (net) capacity of the power plant is 106 MW and 100 MW respectively.
